Samson Oil & Gas Bell Ringing
To kick-off the business component of G’Day USA: Australia Week 2008, Australian company, Samson Oil & Gas Limited (Amex: SSN) (ASX:SSN) along with the Consul General the Honourable John Olsen rang the ceremonial market opening bell at the American Stock Exchange (Amex) on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 in New York City.
Samson recently became the first Australian company to list its American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) on Amex. The Company listed 2,500,000 ADRs, representing 20 ordinary shares per ADR. Samson Oil & Gas Limited’s principal activities are exploring for, developing and producing oil and gas in the United States.
“I congratulate Samson on their successful listing on the American Stock Exchange as it coincides with G’Day USA: Australia Week. This is a significant milestone for the company, exposing US investors to this flourishing independent resource company as it continues to expand its USA based operations,” said Consul General John Olsen AO at the American Stock Exchange.
